"Party Time" Is in The Air

It's "Rita Season"!

No matter where you are located, I'm sure that you felt it recently ... trees blooming, a couple of warm days, you or your neighbor grilling out on the deck. Yep, it's "Rita Season"

Why Margaritas?

One of the most popular drinks among friends. With it's sweet taste from the mix coupled with the little afterburn of a good tequilla, mixed with a little salt on the rim, make it one of the finest concoctions every made ... in the arean of mixed drinks.

Make sure when you have your Margarita Festia, that you have the right Margarita Machine and Margarita Accessories.

The Margarita is the most common tequila-based cocktail, made with tequila mixed with triple sec and lime or lemon juice, often served with salt on the glass rim.

The drink is usually served shaken with ice, on the rocks, or blended with ice (the "frozen margarita"). All three methods are frequently served with salt on the rim of the glass.

As a true "Beach Bum" ...or as much as possible, I have found in my beach travels that bartenders have grown used to tourists who are so intent on getting smashed they don’t really care what it is that is in their glass as long as it is sweet and has alcohol in it.
  • I’ll never forget trying to find a good margarita on the beach in Miami …just a few miles north of the keys. I had no luck. I found it was all pre-mixed (sometimes powered crap) with a little shot of terrible tequila and some ice that wasn't even fully crushed.

I am a self-proclaimed Margarita Connoisseur ..."to be acquainted with" or "to know somebody/something.") is a person who has a great deal of knowledge about the fine arts, or an expert judge in matters of taste.

Luckily for us drinkers Jimmy Buffet, the original Margarita Headmaster, teamed up with an engineer to come up the “Frozen Concoction Maker” after the lyrics from his song. The frozen concoction maker features a high amperage motor and solid look and feel and looks great on my kitchen countertop.

What makes it different from the other Margarita Machines, is that it actually shaves the ice like professional bar machines should do, instead of grinding it up into sleet like bits.

This allows the mix and tequila to soak into every little wonderful ice flake.

    The Man Himself

Singer/songwriter/author Jimmy Buffett uses his travels and storytelling skills to explain the world at large to his far-flung legion of fans, affectionately known as Parrotheads, many of whom are professionals by day, and turn into colorful, tropical, outrageously-outfitted characters at night when Jimmy comes to town.

By the start of the ’80s, Buffett's yearly albums had stopped going gold, and he briefly tried the country market again. But by the middle of the decade, it was his yearly summer tours that were filling his bank account, as a steadily growing core of Sun Belt fans he dubbed “Parrotheads” made his concerts into Mardi Gras-like affairs.

Buffett launched his Margaritaville line of clothes and opened the first of his Margaritaville clubs in Key West. He also turned to fiction writing, landing on the book bestseller lists.
